Jesus: the Way, the Truth, and the Life, is everything
Jesus was the Way: by giving example for every virtue, also for those virtues ignored till then in the pagan world. He was perfect in his duties towards God, towards the neighbour, and towards self; he was perfect in the observance of the commandments and the evangelical counsels, which later he preached to others.
He was the Truth: during the three years of his public life he taught the crowds as well as the apostles the truths of faith which the Church gathered and explained in the dogmatic, moral, ascetic, and pastoral theology.
He was the Life: Jesus restored to humanity the lost grace; he gave it to souls through the sacraments and prayers, making himself the door to a happy eternity.
What Strikes Me Most Today
It seemed so strange to speak of Jesus in the past tense, but I really like what Blessed Alberione did in this writing - he focused strictly on Jesus' life on earth as examples of Way, Truth, and Life. I usually picture the glorified Christ as Way, Truth, and Life - but throughout his earthly life, even (and especially) during His passion, Jesus was pure Way, Truth, and Life. I greatly appreciate Blessed Alberione's ability to get me to see these truths in another way, deepening my love for the Divine Master and strengthening the call to evangelization.

It reminds me of a great quote I saw in a French-Canadian church
