From Saint and Thought For Every Day,
by Blessed James Alberione
The Naturalness and Lovableness of Mary
In Mary's life everything is simplicity, naturalness, kindness and amiability. Her words are few, but they are the finest of prayers. She has no pomp, she is neither dejected nor ostentatious. The nobility of her words and behavior reflect the nobility of her soul. Everything shows that she is attentive, not to herself, but to the needs of others. Mary had declared herself the handmaid of the Lord but, in her charity, she makes herself the servant of the servants of God. In them she sees children of God and brothers and sisters of her Son. Could a more sublime model of charity and, at the same time, a more attractive one, be imagined?
What Strikes Me Most Today
Just as Mary's words were few, mine today will be also. The picture above is worth more than any words I could come up with.
(I hope that sounded good; the truth is I am way behind on things I need to get done at home, work, everywhere - that's why I'm so late in writing today's post - but sticking to few words worked out perfectly in today's writing! I think Mary really does look out for me. So, sorry I'm late posting today, but I gotta get back to work!)
What strikes you most today.
